I use to think that when it came to Baby Showers, Jack and Jill was the way to go. It didn’t seem fair that the women received  a celebration in her honour when the men was just as important and significant in the babies’ life. They too, deserved to share in on the praise, the blessings and the congratulations.

It was not until I had a second, ladies only, baby shower that I saw the light in keeping it traditional over the modern way. The theme inspired by Marie Antoinette, we ladies, bonded over high tea and dainty sweets. We giggled, gossiped and played dirty games…we were allowed to be girly-girls. Among my bestest girlfriends, I felt a sense of appreciation and support because I was surrounded by strong women who truly understood the meaning of entering motherhood. That moment I will never forget.
